In this week’s Sunday Prayer, Michelle urges us to turn to God in prayer during deployment and in all our activities because he is the God Who Sees.
Turn to God in Prayer During Deployment
by Michelle Hieb
Heavenly Father,
Thank you that you are the God who sees us.
Sovereign Lord, you see where our path is going and prepare us for what we will face.
High Priest, see our tears and collect them.
Heavenly Father, you see our laughter and share our joy.
Lord as we go through the journey of today we ask that you be our peace.
Lord, we need you to protect those we love.
We Turn To You in All Things
We release them into your care and rest in you.
In the stillness of the night, we turn to you.
In the busy-ness of the day, we turn to you.
Coming and going, we turn to you.
Rising up and laying down, we turn to you.
Errand running and chore completing, we turn to you.
Entertainment and our resting, we turn to you.
Gathering together and separating, we turn to you.
Deploying and reuniting, we turn to you.
We offer it all as a living sacrifice to you.
Lord, we ask for those who have seen too much and lost their hope.
Protect their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Protect them from a spirit of defeat and suicide.
We ask that you speak to their hearts and remind them that You are with them.
You desire that none be lost, but that all be saved.
We pray that your will be done here on earth as it is in heaven.
In the name above all names, the name of Jesus,
We cry out to you.
Amen.
