About Us

Military women and wives desire connection, stability, hope, and joy. Dealing with multiple moves, frequent deployments, and questions regarding careers, we still must continue to manage careers, develop relationships, build marriages, and raise children. Usually far from family, these challenges can seem insurmountable to accomplish on our own and finding what we need almost impossible.

As military women and wives ourselves, we have walked familiar roads and searched for the same things. What we have come to know and understand is that we do not conquer these obstacles or find the answers on our own. Our only hope for these things is Jesus.

Planting Roots has a vision that military women and wives will be deeply rooted in Christ, no matter where they find themselves. In order to fulfill this vision, our goal is to build a community providing connection and biblical foundation, challenging each other to find our stability in Christ and His purpose for us in the places we are planted.

We are Planting Roots.

We believe the Bible to be the inspired and infallible Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

We believe there is only one God, existing eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19)

We believe in the deity of Christ (John 1:1), in His virgin birth (Matthew 1:18, 25), in His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15), in His miracles, in His atoning death through His shed blood (Hebrews 9:15-22), in His bodily resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:1-8), in His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Acts 1:9-11) and in His personal return in power and glory (Hebrews 9:27-28).

We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. (John 3:16; John 5:24; Titus 3:3-7)

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. (John 14:15-26; John 16:5-16; Ephesians 1:13-14)

We believe we have been “baptized by one Spirit into one body” (1 Corinthians 12:13; Philippians 2:1-4) and recognize the value and equality of all members of the body of Christ, actively supporting the unity of all believers eclipsing all denominational, economic, or ethnic diversities.

We believe that one day we who believe will be transformed and dwell with God in eternity (Philippians 3:20-21).
