Thanksgiving for Friendship in Christ

Lord,

We are reminded over and over that you are for us. 

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?

Romans 8:31-32

 

We are also reminded and thankful for the friends and community you bring to us. This week we focus on friendships, the battle buddies you bring in the midst of everyday life, but even more so in battle. We pray for those who are a constant, who lift us up when we are weak. Father, we are forever thankful that we not only have you but friendships and community in Christ through you. 

We pray Lord this week for friends who may be facing battle silently, who may be too ashamed to seek help.

We pray for the strength of friendships already formed, but most importantly Lord to bring about new relationships centered around you. We ask this week for a covering of hope, for gatherings of friendships in your name. We thank you, Lord, for these opportunities to delight in friendship through you.
