Melissa Carnegie is an Air Force wife, educator, and author. While at Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany, she served as a missionary to military women with Cadence International. While there, she partnered with Navigator missionaries to launch the Club 7 Airmen’s Ministry Center. During her volunteer hours at Club 7 and the chapel worship team, she met her husband.
She holds degrees in Psychology and Bible, along with a master’s in Human Services from Liberty University, with a focus on Crisis and Trauma. While stationed at Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, she partnered with a local church to develop and teach a grief ministry curriculum. She is excited to continue using her writing skills to connect with the unique needs of military women and the Planting Roots team. With nearly 30 years of ministry experience serving children, women, and families, Melissa is passionate about equipping others with a deep, yet practical understanding of the Gospel.
She is an avid reader and enjoys making a variety of hand-crafts and art. She enjoys time with friends new and old, especially when it involves games or conversations about books, food, or things of the heart.
