Over the 25 plus years of being a military wife I have learned a lot!  Perhaps one of the most important things I have learned is that we are not in control (oh, how that lesson has been learned) and we are not strong enough to tackle life on our own!  This can be a very hard lesson to both learn and remember.  God has shown me time and time again that if I can focus on living a life that will honor him, great things will come!

Married to an amazing man who has spent time in both the Army National Guard and the Army Reserve, I have spent many years helping Families navigate both full and part time military service.  We have two sons, ages 14 and 21, and are currently planted in Colorado.  My word and scripture for this season? TRUST!  Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

My hope and prayer for Planting Roots is that God can use this ministry to help military women learn that they are not alone – He is here with us – that His strength, and the knowledge we gain from studying His Word will give us all hope, joy and direction to thrive in this amazing life.
