Show Me Your Ways
As the summer approaches we in the military community realize we are entering a time of change. PCSing, school dates, new assignments, children graduating, ETSing (sometimes all of these things happen in combination). The end result is that we have to make many different decisions for ourselves and our families.
We realize that there are many roads ahead of us, but many times we don’t really know which road to take. Sometimes they are scary and unknown. Sometimes they are exciting and they hold great possibilities.
But first comes the decisions, then the waiting, and finally the executing.
.
Whenever it seems like I just don’t know which way to turn and go or become restless, I am reminded of the Psalmist David.
Make me know Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; For You I wait all the day.
(Psalm 25:4-5, NASB)
David knew that God held his future, whether it was at times seemingly perfect and at time extremely uncertain. David cried out to God to lead him into His perfect will.
My prayer for you today is to fully trust and seek God through prayer and His Word. We can never go wrong when we humbly turn to Him for wisdom and peace, because He is always faithful to show us His ways.
