Skills: I preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am also an organizer and cheerleader. I love to encourage people in their faith. My wife is a professional educator. I pre-edit all her books before they go to the publishing companies (Janrichardsonguidedreading.com). I own a tree farm, and I’m good with a tractor and chainsaw!

Past Experience:

  • 39 years ordained;
  • served on MCYM Board of Directors;
  • presently serve on the Wisconsin Woodland Owners Association BOD (Bad Axe);
  • have led hundreds (perhaps thousands) of people to Christ.

Military Experience:
I was drafted in 1966 and served six years in the Air Force as a Russian interpreter. During that time, I heard the gospel for the first time and accepted Christ as my Savior. I left the Air Force for college and seminary, briefly pastored a church, and re-entered the Air Force in 1977 as a chaplain. I retired in 2012 with over 41 years active duty. My oldest son (Chaplain, Lieutenant Colonel, Steven Richardson) is the wing chaplain at Columbus Air Force Base. My middle son (Jim) is the Senior Advisor to the State Department for USAID. He has attended Air Command and Staff College. My youngest son is the senior electrical engineer at Los Alamos Nuclear Laboratories in Los Alamos, New Mexico. All three sons and my wife are devout Christians.

Personal Statement of Christian Faith: I was in San Angelo, Texas, preparing for an assignment in Turkey monitoring Russian missile launches. I was 20 years old and trying to meet girls. I thought I would try a church (I had never been in one). There I heard the gospel and immediately began to follow Christ.
