Alissa VandeBunte has been a member of the Pennsylvania Air National Guard since 2017 and attended West Chester University, where she, along with her twin sister, contributed as athletes on the women’s cross country and track team. Their journey intertwines the challenges of running with the broader race of life, emphasizing spiritual and physical endurance.
Alissa’s cherished life verse, Isaiah 43:17-19:
“Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.
See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland.” (Isaiah 43:17-19, NIV)
Actively engaged in her church’s youth ministry, Alissa commits herself to mentoring high school girls, encouraging them to pursue their goals and deepen their faith in God. Driven by a sense of mission, she strives to fulfill her purpose and positively influence others, flourishing where the Lord has planted her and finding fulfillment in receiving her deepest needs from Him.
