Cindi Murphy serves as the Women’s Ministry Director at Calvary Reformed Presbyterian Church in Hampton, Virginia, and is actively involved in her church’s Alongside Care ministry. As both a military brat and the wife of an active duty Air Force member, she understands the unique joys and challenges of military life and has spent years serving women within church and USAF chapel ministry contexts.
Cindi remains active within Protestant Women of the Chapel and has also served in a variety of leadership roles through church women’s ministry, Bible study leadership, volunteer coordination, and chapel ministry. She is passionate about healthy church life, gospel clarity, biblical discipleship, and helping women grow in their love for Christ and His Word. She especially enjoys opening Scripture with women and helping them think biblically through everyday life, suffering, marriage struggles, parenting challenges, and spiritual growth.
Cindi came to faith in Christ as an adult while reading a systematic theology textbook, an experience that shaped both her love for Christ and her conviction that theology is far more than academic. She has since audited seminary courses through Covenant Theological Seminary and teaches with a Christ-centered, expositional approach to Scripture that emphasizes both truth and application.
Cindi met her husband, Adam, in England when she was 13 years old, and the two eventually became high school sweethearts before marrying in 2002. Together they have two children, Ava and Ronan, and are now beginning the transition into the empty nest stage of life. She enjoys reading theology, meaningful conversations, and creating a warm hospitable home where people feel known, encouraged, and pointed toward Christ. She and her husband regularly open their home for fellowship, discipleship, and small group gatherings.
