Maribeth Heitman, a writer, speaker, and Bible study leader, has many years of experience in ministry. She is thrilled to embark on a new journey with the Planting Roots team, eager to lend her support to women in the military community. She believes that connecting with other women who walk a similar path can strengthen and enrich the journey, and she is excited to be a part of that process. Growing up in a pastor’s home and being a military chaplain’s wife has instilled in her a sense of flexibility and understanding of a life that places serving others as a high priority.

Maribeth has been married for almost 29 years, 22 of those years have been as a military wife. As a mother to three daughters, Maribeth has focused on her family’s spiritual growth as her main ministry for many years. In addition to this, Maribeth has written and led Bible studies for women and teen girls. For several years, she has been a preschool teacher or a caregiver to the elderly. Recently she has begun to write a devotional book based on the ordinary, but extraordinary, life of a wife and mother.

Maribeth loves to write, craft, cook, read, and spend time with friends and family.
