Liz Giertz is a Staff Writer and Editor for Planting Roots and an Army Veteran who traded her combat boots for a pink ID card and a craft apron. She, her husband, their two boisterous boys, and one crazy shelter pup call the hills of West Virginia home, at least until her soldier retires from active duty. A contributor to Free to Be Brave, she is passionate about gathering women around her craft table and encouraging them with God’s Word.
